Education
Prior to university, Marcus completed both his junior high and high school education at Victoria School for the Performing and Visual Arts.
Marcus Coldeway holds a BA in Art and Design as well as Psychology from the University of Alberta, where he found success in both creative and academic pursuits. During his time at the U of A, he contributed artwork to several psychology textbooks and had a sculpture selected for permanent display at the front entrance of the Northern Jubilee Auditorium.
Shortly after graduating, Marc landed a role in marketing and design with a boutique creative firm, launching his career at the intersection of art, strategy, and creative storytelling.
During his early years working at the marketing and design firm, Marc continued to build on his creative foundation by earning a Website Design and Development certificate from MacEwan University.
This additional training allowed him to expand his skillset into the digital space, combining visual design with technical know-how to deliver more dynamic and effective creative solutions for clients.

Mural Fest
As Creative Director & Curator of the Edmonton Mural Festival, Marcus leads large-scale public art projects, engaging local, national, and international artists—as well as thousands of businesses across Edmonton. The festival’s work transforms the cityscape and unites communities through bold murals and immersive cultural events that pay tribute to, and celebrate, Edmonton’s vibrant art and culture scene.
Canadian Premier League
As Brand, Marketing & Media Manager for FC Edmonton, Marcus led branding and event strategies during the clubs time in the NASL, launch into the Canadian Premier League, and through the most successful seasons seasons on and off the pitch. His work elevated fan experience and media presence for the Canadian Premier League club on both national and international stages.
Torngats National Park
As Creative Director, Marcus led an international awarness ad campaign promoting the Torngat Mountains National Park, a remote and breathtaking Parks Canada destination. Design and Ad Strategy create international awarenes and interest in the park by showcasing the park’s raw beauty and Indigenous cultural significance, positioning it as a must-visit adventure for global eco-tourism audiences.
The Grindstone
Comedy Theatre
Marcus developed the full brand strategy, visual identity, and website for Grindstone Comedy Theatre, including its comedy school and festivals. His work helped unify the theatre’s offerings under a bold, cohesive brand—amplifying its presence as a leader in Alberta’s comedy and arts scene.
Ok Roof
Revival
As Creative Director for OK Roof Revival, Marcus developed a fresh brand identity and marketing strategy for the Okanagan-based roofing company. His work elevated the company’s profile, highlighting its advanced tech, expert services, and commitment to quality and customer care.
ATG Sports
Management
Marcus shaped the global brand strategy and design for ATG Sport Management, the agency representing Alphonso Davies and other MLS and pro soccer players. His work in branding and digital presence helped position ATG as a powerful agency for North America’s next generation of elite soccer talent.
Giving Back
Volunteering is a vital way to give back to the communities we work within. It not only strengthens local connections but also fosters a sense of shared purpose and responsibility.
The BftA ArtsScene initiative connects young professionals with the vibrant arts and culture community through curated events, volunteer opportunities, and creative engagement. It’s a platform for building meaningful relationships while supporting the growth of the local arts scene.
Backpack Buddies tackles childhood hunger by providing weekend meals to school-aged children who rely on school lunch programs. Their work ensures that vulnerable kids have access to nutritious food when school isn’t in session—because hunger doesn’t take weekends off.
